Say NO to Double Parking!

Double parking.

What is that? Double parking is when a car is parked parallel to a car that is already parked at a parking space. Which mean it actually prevents the driver of the other car from leaving their parking space unless the double parker moves first. Alright, even the kids know that double parking causes inconvenience and is illegal.

Here's some example on what is double parking in case you are still not clear...

This Proton Wira is performing an example of it.
The car has block two cars from exit and maybe 3 car if you look at it

The black Myvi is also doing a good job on double parking

Why do people double park? There's actually a lot of reasons behind it, for example, if you own a land and you make it into an open car park where you collect money from people when they drive in and park their car. As a wise business man, you would of course want as many cars as possible to drive in but the land is limited and hence, you as the business man, being smart and you started doing all kind of double park, asking customer to drop their key to you, in case the car before them wanna go out and you can help them move away their cars. Alright, this idea works perfectly as you get to maximize your income using the same size of land you have and your customer get to find a parking space. Not everyone willing to give out their car keys for a few hours but parking is limited according to economic textbook, scarcity right? The owner have no choice but to give out. Great!

The open parking example is a positive sign of Malaysian working smart but sometimes we overuse it and it bring all kind of bad energy in. People started to double park as their wish. It can happen in so many ways, it can be someone drive to an area that has lot's of restaurant or some place where all the banks is located, they couldn't find or they are lazy to find and they do the double parking. For them, their time is precious, it should not be waste at finding parking, they have so many things to do after that, pick up children from school la, send to tuition place la, rush to next appointment la, lunch break 1 hour not enough la, all kinds of reason that even you can name some without much thinking. Those are people that are really selfish, what about the car that is being block? You did they don't have things to do later? Screw you big time double parker! Why is your time so precious while others one isn't, we all have 24 hours a day and you need a better time management if you think you are running out of it. Go back to driving school to learn about road ethics, we don't care you really sit for the exam or is it a kopi o licensed, what we know is you did not learn much based on your action.

Alright, some of the double parker has a bit of humanity in them, they leave their contact in their car where you can contact them when you wanna get out as your car is being block. This is better than those who don't but putting a paper telling us to phone you doesn't make you right either. Please reflect yourself, find a corner and face the wall. Im sure many of us has seen people react angrily when being block, they horned so hard like you know the next minute the double parker appear, they might greet each other with #$%^&*, it is so common in our country. If you have guts, and you wanna do the double park, here's my advice to you, try to park outside the pub, bistro, club or anywhere that sells alcohol where people will come out drunk. Try and block their cars and then you let me know what happen, good luck with that :)

I'm glad that I've been taught on not to do double parking, my dad even warn me not to, it is just pure irritating. No matter how long it take or how many petrol it gonna waste, find a proper parking, don't block others. Like what you heard in Hong Kong drama, don't stop the earth from turning.

To those who just got their driving licensed, and those who considered themselves as experienced driver or even undercover racer, we don't care how you got it but please have some road ethics. You don't want to get block, then don't block others. Be nice to people and people will be nice to you. Is a Visit Malaysia year, let's do something nice to leave a good impression for tourist who come to our country, don't make them asking why is these car blocking on each other.

Before we go, let's have a laugh at this student. Apparently I read this from a social media about a student who did this. Hope we don't repeat what he or she does alright.

Pandai betul.
Say NO to double parking!

Au revoir~!

A picture that worth a thousand words

This basically sum up how the fans feel to the team that we once so proud of.

Don't get me wrong, it doesn't mean I will change my jersey to another football club but, just that, this team mean whole lot more than a football club to me. It has become a part of me, I'm not joking, you'll get me if you are really into football or it can be anything meaningful to you, perhaps a car, a friend or even a Korean drama that tell love stories between an alien and a human.

What's your talent?

I'm suppose to be rushing my dissertation by now but because of my brother send us in the family whatapps group chat, it give me inspiration to blog, for a while.

My bro has leave home for few days to participate in some kind of competition or running tournament, those athlete kinda stuff. He do texts us from time to time to update us on how he's been and in this evening, he uploaded a video of him sprinting past the finishing line to our group chat. Saying he break his own record for 100m, he is now able to reach the finishing line in 11 seconds. Alright, he is not the fastest in that group of people, nor anywhere near the legendary sprinter Usain Bolt's 9.58 seconds, but to me, 11 seconds is a figure that I know I would never able to achieve or even smell it.

Usain Bolt with his 9.58 seconds world record

In my family, I think both my dad and my brother can achieve 11 seconds for 100m running but for me, hmmm... how about 15s or 16s? I have no idea about it because I know I am so slow that I don't even care about how long do I need to complete the 100m, haha. I'm never fast ever since I was born, wonder what's wrong with my DNA, how come I can't run :(

People who know me know that I do play football and futsal quite often last time, yea, last time as now everyone seem so busy that I watch more football games on TV than how much I had really play. People always has that perception that, if you play a lot of sport, then you can run really fast, but the fact is, I'm not, I'm nowhere near fast. To be able to survive in the game, I only can force myself to raise my other aspects in the game, the stamina, the passing and all. When you already outrun me, how can I let you to out-pass me? At least I need to last longer than you. If you have the speed, it is a blessing to you, a gift that make you so easy to settle in any kind of sports as if you don't have the skills, at least you have the pace, you can run. Compare with my dad and brother, I'm not so lucky in pace, and it does sometimes make me think what I'm good at.

The funny thing is, I remember when I was 16 or 17, a tuition teacher of mine has said that the gift that the God give me is the talent to bullshit or crap out of nothing. Should I be happy for this? Haha. I definitely know she is joking with me but she wouldn't have said that without any evidence. I have to agree with her somehow, that during my time as a boy scout in secondary school, there's always have some activities going on in the Saturday morning. We, the senior will organize this and that for the young one to improve their skill, but you know, sometimes the gap between this activity to another activity is big or it can be delay due to someone is late or something is not there where we often use the word as "technical problem". So, to solve this 30 or 40 minutes awkward time, I've been asked to go up to the young one and start my story telling until everything behind the scene is done. Is like, there is an empty 20min and we don't not want to release the junior to rest yet, then it will be my time, story telling, sharing experiences and all that kind of nonsense. Haha. Maybe filling up the free time for others is my hidden talent after all.

Me, standing in front and ready for the "talk show"

Is not related to this post, just miss this bunch of people. Scouting is fun :')

So yea, what are you good at? Do you have some special talent or some talent that you dream to have? Like people always say, when God shut this door of yours, he will always let another one open. Don't be sad if your talent is not that awesome or you don't even know what you good at. Keep trying and one day you'll be there :)

Before I go back to my dissertation, I just wanna said, maybe a lot of you my fellow scouts and guides have forgot about yesterday, hope by reading this can help you remember it better next time. 22nd Feb is a day we both celebrate last time, is Founder Day for the scout and Thinking Day for the girl guide. Thanks Sir Baden Powell for giving people like me to have a platform to try, to perform and to learn what we do best.

Terima kasih Tuan .lll.

If you ask me what is this >>>  .lll.
